Our 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Seminar – Post Show Report

Following our 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Seminar, held on 24th January 2018 at our Wilton headquarters, we are now releasing a post show report summarising the topics covered.

The event was a roaring success with nearly 40 guests in attendance, it far surpassed our expectations. The seminar began with an introduction from our very own Ian Pattinson followed by a highly informative presentation from guest speaker Tony Jefferson, Sembcorp. Tony detailed the anticipated changes the 18th Edition is likely to bring, and the effects these changes are going to impose on electric engineers of all backgrounds. The seminar was concluded by Faraday’s resident Low Voltage expert Alan Jones, who guided the attendees through the training requirements associated with the 18th Edition and how Faraday are on hand to help.

The below report contains a brief overview of the changes we are expecting to be announced on the publication of the 18th Edition Regulations, due for release July 2018. These changes will not be confirmed until the release of the new regulations. However, it appears extremely likely that they will be included. Furthermore, in the run up to the release we will be providing regular updates on any amendments or additions that come to light.

Clients should also be aware that booking has now opened for our EAL Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) training course. We are anticipating huge numbers for this course as engineers are required to attend the training before the deadline of January 2019. Therefore, we have opened booking early before the regulations are officially released in order to effectively deal with the demand.

As we are now fully accredited by EAL we are able to offer the training at our Wilton headquarters or at our clients premises worldwide.
