Alan Jones has joined Faraday as a Lead Tutor to oversee our team of lecturers and to deliver a range of electrical power training to clients in the UK and internationally, in sectors including oil and gas, marine and offshore, engineering and construction, chemical, government and the public sector.
Alan has over 40 years experience working in roles such as electrical technician, supervisor and lead electrical engineer in a variety of industries including steelmaking, railway construction, cement manufacturing and petrochemicals. A career in these industries has seen Alan lead teams of electrical technicians during major project work in countries such as Canada, Lybia and Qatar.
As well as relocating to our new purpose designed headquarters, 2017 has also seen the launch of several new training courses including: Up-Skilling, which aims to enhance the skills of those who work within the electrical sector and was established in response to the growing demand for multi-skilled electrical technicians; three new EAL low voltage courses; and the Refresher in the Safe Operation of Offshore/Maritime High Voltage Power Systems course, which was established in response to customer demand for refresher and reassessment courses for the maritime industry. Therefore growth within the team is vital and will continue throughout 2018.
