Electrical specialist unveils new facilities as part of continued growth drive

North East-based electrical training specialist, The Faraday Training Centre Ltd has launched its new headquarters, as part of its continued expansion.

In line with the growth of its course offering and recent recruitment phase, The Faraday Training Centre has relocated to a state-of-the-art facility at the Wilton Centre, Redcar, in a move which is one of the Wilton Centre’s largest lettings for a decade

The relocation follows a successful year of growth for The Faraday Training Centre which has now doubled its previous office and training space with the new 4000m² headquarters – which were unveiled at an exclusive launch event on Thursday 21 September.

The facility boasts twelve lecture rooms, two large practical areas spanning over 1300m² – one with a fully operational marine system and one with a fully operational land based system, specialist areas for cable termination and jointing training, protection training and EAL low voltage training, a seminar room, boardroom, three conference rooms and onsite catering facilities and canteens. The company now also has its first fully operational 33Kv system installed in its main practical area.

The Faraday Training Centre Ltd forms part of The Faraday Training Group, an international electrical training provider which boasts facilities in Teesside and Limassol, Cyprus. The Faraday Training Group offers an extensive range of electrical power training courses including low voltage, high voltage, electrical protection, testing courses and marine and offshore courses, as well as training packages.

Barry Thomas, managing director at The Faraday Training Centre, said: “I established the company in 1991 at which time the company only had two customers. These new premises are a sign of our continued growth as we now train over 2,500 people annually, and to date have trained in excess of 20,000 delegate’s onsite and thousands more at their own premises.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt and deliver courses which meet the changing needs of our industry and our customers, and our success in doing so is proven in our growth. I am both thrilled and humbled to be able to celebrate our expansion, and the launch of the new premises with our clients, employees and those who have been influential throughout my electrical engineering career.

“This is a great time for The Faraday Training Centre and I am confident that the dedication of our employees, high-calibre of our courses and the expertise we provide delegates will see us continue to grow in the years to come.”

In response to both industry and customer demand, the training provider has launched several new courses this year including: A Wind Farm HV Cable Termination course; a Hybrid Electrical Safety Awareness course; an Up-Skilling course; three new EAL low voltage courses; and a Refresher in the Safe Operation of Offshore/Maritime High Voltage Power Systems course.
