A range of protective devices will be used during the course to include ABB REF615 Relay, SEL 751 Relay. MiCom P121 Relay. Candidates will work either on their own or in pairs, with individual access to the relevant relays and laptop to interrogate relay functions.

This award gives an understanding of the theory and practice of the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment; commonly referred to as PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing). During the course, a number of practical exercises are undertaken using a range of portable appliance testing equipment.
It will give delegates theoretical and practical experience in the implementation of a formal inspection and testing regime for electrical equipment (portable appliances).

This course focuses on engineering drawings typically used in the oil, gas, chemical and process industries by engineers, technicians and permit system personnel.
The course focuses on the life of a piping and instrumentation diagram and how it changes from a construction drawing to a commissioning drawing and finally to an operations and maintenance drawing. It will also show delegates how you can make changes to a P&ID and the process it goes through to be up-revved.
