This course aims to refresh the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidates relating to safe practices and legislation applicable to low voltage power systems. It enables candidates to perform advanced LV switching operations on industrial LV networks up to 1000 volts AC and 1500 volts DC. The course includes both classroom theory as well as practical exercises.

The aim of this course is to provide refresher training to Senior Authorised Personnel with a responsibility for carrying out high voltage switching duties and the issue of safety documents associated with such work.
This course is designed to refresh the candidates’ knowledge and skills relating to safe practices and legislation applicable to high voltage power systems. It enables candidates to perform advanced HV switching operations on industrial HV networks up to and including 15kV or 33kV. It includes both classroom theory and practical exercises.

This is an advanced training programme that requires previous HV experience and a good foundation of electrical knowledge of high voltage power systems. This course has been developed to meet the requirements of the safe operation of high voltage systems in marine/offshore applications (excluding control systems). This course is more advanced than the MAR4 course and includes a broader technical emphasis. Upon completion, candidates will be assessed to a competency level suitable for switching and issuing documents for work on all types of circuit.
