This wind farm HV cable termination course is based on a type of cable termination generally used in the wind farm industry by most major contractors. It also provides candidates with knowledge on how a cable is constructed and the function(s) of the individual components.

    1. Cable preparation
    2. Installing 12kv indoor termination for screened single core insulated cable (Heat shrink)
    3. Installing 24kv indoor termination for screened single core insulated cable (Cold shrink)
    4. Installing 24kv Pfisterer separable screen T connector

Who should attend?

Electrical engineers/technicians responsible for carrying out or supervising high voltage terminating or jointing.

Please note: Candidates must be competent in the use of hand tools.

Certifications

Candidates who successfully complete the course and both theoretical and practical assessments will receive The Faraday Centre competence certificate. Candidates who fail will receive The Faraday Centre attendance certificate.
