Practical Advanced Protection Training (P3)
The course covers the application and testing of electrical protection systems. The training will be mainly practical exercises over the 5 Days duration, coupled with classroom theory. A range of protective devices will be used during the course to include ABB REF615 Relay, SEL 751 Relay. MiCom P121 Relay. Candidates will work either on their own or in pairs, with individual access to the relevant relays and laptop to interrogate relay functions.

Who should attend?
Electrical/Plant Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, Electricians with responsibility for the application, commissioning and/or maintenance of electrical protective equipment used on industrial electrical power systems. This training programme requires a good foundation of electrical knowledge. The prerequisite for attendance on this course is candidates must have achieved a pass in the Faraday P1 course or have relevant experience in protection power systems.
Certifications
Candidates who successfully complete the course and both theoretical and practical assessments will receive The Faraday Centre competence certificate. Candidates who fail will receive The Faraday Centre attendance certificate.
