2017 has been an exciting year for Faraday with the combination of our two UK centres into our new purpose designed headquarters based on the Wilton Site, Redcar.
Our new headquarters doubles our previous office and training space. The 4000m² facility includes twelve lecture rooms, two large practical areas spanning over 1300m² – one with a fully operational marine system and one with a fully operational land based system, specialist areas for cable termination and jointing training, protection training and EAL low voltage training, a seminar room, boardroom, three conference rooms and onsite catering facilities and canteens. We have also installed our first fully operational 33Kv system in the main practical area.
We celebrated the opening of our new facility with a Launch Event which took place on the 21st September with over 115 guests in attendance. The event was a great success and one of the highlights of 2017 for us.
Below our Managing Director, Barry Thomas shares his views on our progress throughout 2017:
Despite being hospitalised for 4 months during our relocation, the transfer of the business including vast system improvements, proceeded without delay. This is thanks to regular visits from my daughter, Project Manager, Dr Hannah Thomas.
The move involved considerable expenditure which still needs to be reflected with an increase in sales.
Four Lead Tutors are now in place and are making a positive contribution to the operation of the training facilities section. We have also recruited other staff including lecturers. The outsourcing of candidate transportation to a private coach company appears to be more successful than using our own transportation.
During 2018, further reconstruction of company personnel will be necessary to improve sales.
To conclude, we would like to thank each and every one of our clients for their support throughout the year and we hope you will join us on our journey through 2018. We are sure it will be a period of further growth and expansion for Faraday. Exciting times ahead!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year!
Kindest Regards as always,
The Faraday Team
