Due to the newly announced publication date of the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (July 2018), there will be changes in our schedule for next year.
As of July 2018, all dates originally set for our 17th Edition -EAL Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 course will become dates for our 18th Edition – EAL Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018 course.
The new standard is due to be released on 1st July 2018, with electrical contractors and electricians given a six month transition period to get up to speed with the changes. From 1st January 2019, it will then be a requirement that all electrical installations designed after this date comply with BS 7671:2018, 18th Edition. With this is mind we are expecting huge numbers for the proposed dates, therefore additional dates will be scheduled in due course to deal with the demand.
To further educate those effected by the regulation changes, Faraday will be hosting a free, informative short seminar on 24th January 2018 aimed at anyone operating within the electrical industry. Our technical experts will be helping electrical contractors and electricians understand the proposed changes to BS 7671 – The 18th Edition.
